Rachel’s authentic Pacific governance and leadership is underpinned by her values of integrity, goodwill and excellence to strategically influence and encourage diverse thinking to ‘bridge build’ for the purposes of socio-economic prosperity for communities, businesses and government for global impact.
Rachel is an experienced strategic and business director overseeing key relationships across the Pacific region and internationally in the both public-private sectors in the various governing roles she holds.
Her 20 years of governance and broad commercial experience includes numerous projects between New Zealand and the Pacific region concerning trade and investment promotion and facilitation, international research expeditions, public relations, government and NGO advisory.
Her previous management experience is in the IT, SME and social services sectors. Currently a board member for: the Pacific Business Trust, Pacific Trade Invest NZ, Framework Trust, Habitat for Humanity NZ, Bowel Cancer NZ, the NZ Tonga Business Council and the South Pacific Regional Director for the World Evangelical Alliance (WEA) Women’s Commission.
Locally – Rachel sits on the executive committees for the Institute of Directors Waikato branch, the Waikato Women’s Fund and the Community Link Trust. A 2017 Global Woman Breakthrough Leader and a NZ Institute of Directors member.
